💼 Type: Full-Time Apprenticeship Program

About The Program

The SoC Design Engineer Apprenticeship Program is designed for graduates who aspire to build a career in System-on-Chip (SoC) development and semiconductor engineering.

Participants will gain hands-on exposure to industry-standard digital IC design methodologies, from RTL design and functional verification to logic synthesis, timing analysis, and physical implementation.

Through intensive technical training followed by On-the-Job Training (OJT), participants will develop practical skills and gain real-world experience in semiconductor design environments.

Program Structure

During the 1-month intensive training phase at ASEM, Cyberjaya, you will gain practical exposure to:

  • Digital IC design methodologies and industry-standard front-end workflows
  • RTL design using Verilog HDL
  • Functional verification with SystemVerilog
  • Logic synthesis and design optimization
  • Design for Test (DFT) fundamentals
  • Static Timing Analysis (STA) using PrimeTime
  • Front-end low-power implementation techniques
  • Physical implementation with ICC II
  • Hands-on mini project integrating the complete digital IC design flow
  • Industry-readiness workshops and technical mentoring

In the following 3 months, you will gain hands-on industry experience through an On-the-Job Training (OJT) placement at a semiconductor company, where you will apply your technical knowledge in a real engineering environment

Responsibilities

As a SoC Design Engineer Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to semiconductor integration workflows such as:

• Supporting processor and subsystem integration activities
