About The Program


The RISC-V SoC Design Engineer Apprenticeship Program is designed for graduates who aspire to build a career in System-on-Chip (SoC) development and semiconductor engineering.

Participants will gain exposure to the integration of processors, memory subsystems, peripherals, and IP blocks into complete SoC solutions, while learning industry-standard RISC-V and semiconductor design workflows.


Program Structure

During the 10-day training phase in Chennai, India, you'll gain practical exposure to: -

• Technical lectures and guided practical sessions

• Semiconductor ecosystem exposure

• Industry visits and technical sharing sessions

• Networking opportunities with students and professionals

• International learning environment


In the 3-week hands-on training phase in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, you'll gain practical experience in:

• Practical RTL design exercises

• Processor and SoC design projects

• Simulation and debugging activities

• Industry-readiness workshops


In the following 3 months, you'll gain hands-on industry experience through an On-the-Job Training (OJT) placement.


Responsibilities

As a SoC Design Engineer Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to semiconductor integration workflows such as:

• Supporting processor and subsystem integration activities

• Assisting in SoC architecture implementation and validation

• Developing and testing hardware modules for SoC platforms

• Supporting IP integration and system-level debugging

• Participating in simulation and design verification activities

• Collaborating with RTL, Verification, and Physical Design teams

• Preparing technical documentation and engineering reports

• Participating in design reviews and technical discussions


Who We're Looking For

• Fresh graduates or final-year students in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines

• Strong interest in SoC development and semiconductor design

• Basic understanding of computer architecture and digital systems

• Eagerness to learn and work in a collaborative engineering environment

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Able to commit to the full training and OJT duration
