Job Description
Responsibilties:

Design, develop, and optimize robotic systems for vehicle assembly and related processes.

Select and integrate appropriate industrial robots (e.g., KUKA, ABB, FANUC) and robotic peripherals.

Develop motion planning, path optimization, and precision control strategies.

Develop and maintain embedded software interfacing with hardware and PLC systems.
-
Implement low-level control logic for real-time performance and safety compliance.
-
Interface with hardware I/O, sensors, actuators, and industrial field bus protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, CAN).

Lead development of ROS-based applications for perception, navigation, and system integration.
-
Implement ROS nodes for data acquisition, control, and diagnostics.
-
Collaborate with software and systems engineers to ensure robust ROS middleware communication.
-
Integrate robotic systems into existing manufacturing workflows and MES/SCADA systems.
-
Develop simulation and testing frameworks to validate robotic solutions prior to deployment.
-
Conduct thorough system testing (HIL/SIL) and ensure regulatory compliance.
-
Perform on-site commissioning, calibration, and tuning of robotic systems.
-
Monitor system performance in the field and iterate based on feedback.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to robotics and automation controls.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Experience in robotics engineering within industrial or automotive automation.
-
Proficient with industrial robot programming and control systems.
-
Strong experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and real-time robotic software development.
-
Hands-on experience with embedded systems, PLCs, and field hardware.
-
Familiarity with system integration, sensor fusion, and industrial communication protocols.
-
Field validation experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
-
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
-
Experience with Digital Twin simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, RViz, Siemens Tecnomatix).

Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R1
-
5.06).
-
Experience working with AGVs, AMRs, or autonomous manufacturing systems.
-
Understanding of AI/ML techniques in robotic perception or process optimization.
