Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. PCB Layout Design Engineer with 6–9 years of experience in multi-layer, high-speed PCB design using tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium, and Expedition. The role involves complete ownership of PCB layout activities including schematic entry, footprint creation, stack-up definition, impedance-controlled routing, and Gerber generation while ensuring DFM/DFA compliance. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements, apply SI/PI and EMI/EMC best practices, support fabrication and assembly queries, and drive design improvements in performance, size, and thermal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

PCB Layout Designing in Cadence Allegro
-
Working knowledge of schematic drawing tools and principles.

Symbol creation, Footprint Creation & Gerber generation and Verification.
-
Collaborate with the mechanical team for PCB sizing, mounting arrangements, and mechanical constraints.

High Speed Digital design layout. Exposure to High-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, DDR etc.

Define PCB stack-up requirements and ensure impedance-controlled routing as per design needs.

Understand the reference/recommended layout design from component datasheets and implement in the design.

Understand signal integrity and power integrity principles and apply best practices during routing.

Ensure Assembly/Fab drawings are as per the industry standards & guidelines

Version control of designs and proper documentations for the changes

Ensure PCB specifications in the entire cycle

Ensure PCBs are Designed for Manufacturability and Testing

Solve Engineering Queries from PCB Fabricator and Assembly house

Propose alternative layout concepts/Ideas to reduce PCB size, enhance thermal management, and improve performance.
Must-Have Skills
-
Strong proficiency in designing rigid and flexible printed circuit boards.

Strong experience with Cadence Allegro Cad tool.

Solid understanding of PCB layout design fundamentals and manufacturing feasibility.

Teamwork and Co-ordination
-
Hands-on experience in high-speed multi-layer PCB layout, including component placement, constraint setup, routing, DFM checks, and final Gerber release.

Strong knowledge of HDI PCB layouts, including blind, buried, and micro via technologies.

Good knowledge of signal integrity, thermal management, and EMI/EMC concepts for PCB design.

PCB Footprint creation and validation as per IPC Standards

Good understanding of PCB Manufacturing processes, technology and Surface Mount assembly process.

Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Strong time-management skills, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
Nice-to-Have Skills
-
Familiarity with PCB CAD tools such as Altium Designer and Mentor Graphics is preferred.

Awareness of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
Qualifications

Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering or a related field.
