We are seeking Firmware Functional Manager based at Innovare, Bangalore site who will work in an Agile framework by leading a team of Firmware engineers to Design and Develop Power Electronics products like Online/ Line Interactive UPS, Rack PDU (Rpdu), Custom Micro data centers etc...  
 
Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership and Development: Should be able to Build, Lead, Mentor and Develop Strong Firmware Engg team by fostering a collaborative and high Performance Environment. This includes hiring, training, evaluating performance and addressing team member concerns. 
     
  • Resource Management: Responsible for managing the resources within the department,-- by assigning Right resource depending upon the complexity of the program, Procurement of Equipment and tools to aid the team members for faster project completion and meet department objectives. Responsible for Hiring top Talents and Retention 
     
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Must Possess deep knowledge in embedded firmware technologies, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance system designs. Review and guide architecture, design and implementation of complex firmware systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards including RTOS. Provide Guidance and direction to the team members and collaborating with other departments on Cross functional Initiatives. Should be able to work with the team in solving complex Problems and contribute to planning and execution of a program. 
     
  • Performance and Goal Setting: Responsible for setting Performance goals and objective to the team which aligns with overall company Vision. Should have a periodic review with each team member on their goals progress. Conduct Performance review of each team members and provide proper feedback. 
     
  • Communication and Collaboration: Good communicator with his team and other cross functional teams. Work with Cross functional teams (like Program Manager, Offer Team and  Other Business units etc.) to achieve Business objectives. 
     
  • Risk Management: Should be able to guide the team to mitigate (technically or other function)  on possible risks in the program. 
     
  • Approve Schedules, budget and Plans related to the group.  
     
  • Conflict Management: Should be able to solve any conflict within the team and address Issues with the team member on performance and other challenges. 
     
  • Competency Management: Analyze the Skill Gap of team members and Provide suitable training to ramp up for new Competency. 
     
  • Business Objectives: Support the Offer team in Building Product Road Map.  
     

Qualification and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  or Higher with specialization in Communication and  Controls firmware and Embedded Electronics. 
     
  • Should have managed a Decent size (min 8 members) Team (mainly related to Firmware and Embedded Systems) earlier. 
  • Should have at least 20+ years related industry experience in architecting firmware, Design and Development of  Embedded Electronics Product from Concept to Release. Proven expertise in RTOS, uC/uP platforms and Lower Level firmware development.
