General Description

The senior hardware engineer plays a vital role in developing, designing, and implementing electronic systems and hardware components. This position combines technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking to create cutting-edge hardware solutions. As a senior hardware Engineer, you will be involved in all product development life cycle stages, from initial concept and design to testing, validation, and production. This role demands a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, proficiency in hardware design tools, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technological advancements.

Job Description /Work Experience Requirements

  • Lead schematic design, PCB layout, and BOM preparation for new hardware products.
  • Perform simulations of analog and digital circuits to verify design robustness.
  • Build, solder, and debug prototypes for design validation and functional testing.
  • Support existing and new products with modifications, updates, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and mechanical teams on system design, interface definition, and integration protocols.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for mechanical integration and hardware interfacing.
  • Interface with certification bodies for compliance with IEC, EMI, and EMC standards.
  • Document designs by producing technical manuals, application notes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide support for firmware development, product installation, and maintenance teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional design reviews .

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communication Engineering.
  • A solid knowledge in electronics (component selection, design calculations, circuit concept and control).
  • Experience in Power Supply is a MUST
  • At least 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in embedded hardware design using STM32/ARM Cortex-M and low-power embedded design.

Technical Skills:

  • At least 2 years of experience in flyback power supply design and high-voltage safety.
  • Proficient in Altium Designer, LTspice, and thermal simulation tools.
  • Expertise in AC power measurement and precision analog front-end design.
  • Experience with product design for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT).
  • Solid understanding and experience with communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, RS485, Ethernet, GSM, LoRa.
  • Familiarity with low-power design for battery-operated systems.
  • Hands-on prototyping using STM32, ESP32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi platforms.
  • Competence in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and VNAs.
  • Ability to quickly interpret device datasheets and application notes.

Preferred:

  • Experience with RF design, antenna matching (GSM/LoRa), and impedance tuning.
  • Leadership: Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
  • Problem-Solving: Debugging complex hardware issues (e.g., noise, thermal bottlenecks).
  • Communication: Clear documentation and collaboration with firmware/QA teams.
