Our client is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join their engineering department in Sliedrecht within the maritime sector. In this role you will focus on the hardware design of electrical installations for ships, including switchboards, distribution panels and control consoles. You will also work on systems such as fire detection, intercom and CCTV, collaborating closely with panel building and field service teams to ensure reliable electrical solutions for maritime vessels.
Tasks

Designing maritime electrical installations according to hardware specifications and client requirements

Creating electrical drawings for switchboards, distribution panels and control consoles

Designing systems such as fire detection, intercom and CCTV installations

Preparing electrical schematics and documentation for ship installations

Collaborating closely with panel building and field service teams during project execution
Job requirements

Completed MBO education in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics

5+ years of experience as a Hardware Engineer within the maritime sector

Experience designing electrical ship installations

Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD and SEE Electrical or EPLAN

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Knowledge of standards and regulations such as Bureau Veritas, Lloyds or CCS

Good command of English, both written and spoken
