The Rol
eWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Engineer to join our engineering team developing advanced single-board computer (SBC) solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AMD (Xilinx) FPGA devices, strong proficiency in VHDL and FPGA design techniques. This role will involve working across the full FPGA development lifecycle, from requirements definition and architecture through to implementation, verification and validation
.

g?There are four elements to this role, they includ
e;System Architecture & Desi
gn· Work closely with system architects to derive and define FPGA requirements from high-level system specification
s.· Develop FPGA architectures to support SBC designs, including high-speed interfaces and embedded processor subsystem
s.· Propose and evaluate design trade-offs to meet performance, power, and cost target
s.Implementation & Integrati
on· Develop FPGA designs using AMD Vivado for synthesis, implementation, and bitstream generatio
n.· Integrate MicroBlaze soft processors, peripherals, and custom IP within the system desig
n.· Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate FPGA and SoC component
s.Verification & Validati
on· Develop and execute testbenches using modern verification frameworks such as Cocotb, UVVM, or similar environment
s.· Perform simulation, hardware bring-up, and debug using tools like Vivado Logic Analyzer and Chipscop
e.· Contribute to system-level validation of FPGA-based designs in conjunction with embedded softwar
e.Technical Leadersh
ip· Mentor junior engineers and support best practices in FPGA design and documentatio
n.· Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development proces
