About the Role
ChipWave is seeking an experienced
Senior Embedded WLAN Security Engineer
with strong expertise in
WPA Supplicant development, embedded Wi-Fi security, and RTOS-based embedded platforms
.
In this role, you will lead the design, development, integration, and optimization of WPA Supplicant for next-generation embedded chipsets. You will collaborate closely with firmware, driver, platform, and validation teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance wireless connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, and maintain
WPA Supplicant
for embedded RTOS platforms.
-
Architect and integrate WPA Supplicant with Wi-Fi drivers, firmware, RTOS services, and platform components.
-
Analyze product requirements and translate them into scalable software architecture and detailed technical designs.

Develop and optimize WLAN security features supporting:
-
WPA
-
WPA2
-
WPA3
-
IEEE 802.1X
-
EAP
-
SAE
-
Lead supplicant integration, customization, optimization, and performance tuning for resource-constrained embedded platforms.

Debug complex security, authentication, roaming, connectivity, and platform integration issues.

Collaborate with firmware, driver, platform, system, and validation teams during chipset bring-up and feature enablement.

Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, design discussions, and software quality initiatives.
-
Prepare architecture documents, interface specifications, sequence diagrams, and technical documentation.
-
Drive continuous improvements in software quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Required Qualifications

4–8 years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

Strong programming expertise in

Hands-on experience in
WPA Supplicant
development, customization, integration, or porting.

Strong understanding of RTOS concepts, including:

Experience working in RTOS-based embedded environments; exposure to

Strong debugging expertise using
JTAG, GDB, RTOS traces, protocol analyzers, firmware logs, and logic analyzers

Ability to independently own features from requirement analysis through design, implementation, debugging, validation, and production release.
