Role Overview

As a Senior Embedded Software Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in the integration, validation and deployment of Easyrain software solutions across automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and high-performance embedded computing platforms.


Working at the intersection of Model-Based Development, embedded software and automotive electronics, you will be responsible for integrating software components generated from MATLAB/Simulink models into AUTOSAR-based and embedded operating system architectures, ensuring robust, efficient and traceable software releases throughout the development lifecycle.


You will contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of software integration processes, configuration management and release strategies, supporting the transition from research prototypes to production-ready automotive solutions. Your daily activities will include software development, build and deployment, repository management, software configuration, Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) performance analysis, debugging and validation on automotive reference hardware platforms such as Infineon AURIX TC3xx and rapid prototyping systems including dSPACE.


The role requires close collaboration with Controls Design, System Engineering, Validation and external technology partners to ensure seamless integration of software components, compliance with development standards and successful delivery of innovative Software Defined Vehicle solutions.


Success in this position requires solid expertise in embedded software integration, Model-Based Development, AUTOSAR architectures, AI-based algorithms and neural networks, as well as automotive communication networks. A practical, hands-on approach to laboratory activities and software troubleshooting is essential.

Key Responsibilities

·       Integrate software on AUTOSAR and Linux-based embedded platforms.

·       Manage software releases, Git repositories and configuration.

·       Develop and integrate MATLAB/Simulink models and generated code.

·       Develop and validate AI-based software components for automotive systems.

·       Perform PIL analysis on AURIX TC3xx and reference hardware.

·       Debug, optimize and validate embedded software.

·       Configure CAN, CAN FD, LIN networks and ECU diagnostics.

·       Support dSPACE prototyping and ECU commissioning.

·       Collaborate with Controls Design, Validation and System teams.

Requirements

·       Master's degree in Electronic, Computer Engineering or similar.

·       Experience in automotive embedded software integration.

·       Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic Architecture.

·       Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and MathWorks toolchain.

·       Experience with BitBucket,(or Git) software releases and version control.

·       Experience with Processor In the Loop on Automotive microprocesso (e.g. AURIX TC3xx or similar platforms).

·       Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, UDS and Vector tools.

·       Fluent in English (B2+ level).
