Product of the Position
Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Define well-architected software solutions, optimized code and algorithms, secure and reliable systems, and documentation according to defined quality criteria. Contribute to the overall technical strategy, mentor team members, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
- Establish coding standards and best practices for functional safety software development, considering scalable and efficient codebase.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in real time software systems by optimizing code and algorithms to improve system efficiency and responsiveness.
- Ensure development adherence to defined development processes, required software quality and applicable industry standards, and best coding practices by testing, debugging, and quality assurance.
- Design and implement software units or systems, including all V-model artefacts required by relevant standards, that are scalable and reliable, by considering factors such as load balancing, fail-over mechanism or fault tolerance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to software system errors, crashes, and system failures.
- Manage security concerns considering secure coding and data protection.
- Contribute to the architectural design of complex software systems by making high-level decisions, defining system components, interfaces, and supported features, and by ensuring overall architecture aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Foster an agile development environment by enabling rapid iteration and adaptation of software solutions.

Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps, outlining the evolution of software features and functionalities over time by exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain real-time systems for automotive applications.
- Collaborate with software architects to define implementation requirements and specifications.
- Implement software solutions in C/C++ and Python, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Conduct software testing and debugging to ensure the functionality is according to the product requirements.
- Optimize software performance and memory usage for embedded systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards and regulations (ASPICE and/or ISO 26262)

Embrace agile mindset.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in software development for embedded systems and debugging.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.
- Proven experience in embedded Linux or QNX
- Good understanding of POSIX and operating systems architecture (scheduling, MMU, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, JIRA, Jenkins).
- Knowledge about continuous integration and continuous deployment methodology
- Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFE.

Experience with Automotive standards and regulations (ASPICE, ISO2662) will be highly valued.

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
