Job Description

Role Description The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded software for a range of intelligent devices and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and optimizing firmware, participating in software architecture decisions, performing code reviews, and ensuring robust software design and performance. The role involves hands-on debugging, integration with hardware platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to documentation and best practices. The engineer will also mentor junior team members and support project planning and estimation. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Embedded Software Programming and Embedded Software development for microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end Software Development, including requirements analysis, implementation, and testing.
  • Advanced Debugging skills for embedded systems using tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Solid Software Design capabilities, including modular architecture, real-time system design, and optimization for resource-constrained environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems; familiarity with RTOS, device drivers, and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
  • Experience working closely with hardware teams, interpreting schematics, and understanding hardware–software interactions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a senior or lead embedded engineering role, with the ability to mentor team members and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a structured, quality-focused environment.


Have experience with embedded systems hardware and software design/debugging and applications

in C/C++

● Experience working with IAR, Keli and/or GCC embedded

● Demonstrable work experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS/Zephyr/other RTOS

● Work experience on ARM Cortex platforms (M0/M3/M4)

● Knowledge/Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, etc.) is a plus

● A good team player as well as self-motivated individual
