Job Description

Company Description BigEndian Semiconductors is a fabless semiconductor startup developing secure, high-performance System-on-Chips (SoCs) in India for global markets. The company builds silicon platforms for next-generation surveillance, telecom, IoT, and enterprise systems, with a strong “security by design” focus that tightly integrates hardware and software. Backed by leaders with experience at Intel, ARM, Broadcom, and Zenoti, BigEndian combines deep expertise in VLSI, system architecture, and embedded software to deliver trusted solutions for both national security and commercial applications. Headquartered in Bengaluru and supported by strategic partners in Taiwan and India, as well as government programs and deep-tech investors, BigEndian is building an end-to-end semiconductor innovation ecosystem. The company is committed to advancing India’s position as a global hub for semiconductor design, innovation, and manufacturing.

Role Description The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design, implement, and optimize embedded software for high-performance SoCs used in surveillance, telecom, IoT, and enterprise applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing firmware and low-level drivers, integrating software with hardware platforms, and collaborating closely with VLSI and system architecture teams to realize secure, reliable silicon solutions. The role involves performing in-depth debugging, profiling, and validation on target boards, writing clean and maintainable code, reviewing peer designs, and contributing to software architecture decisions. The engineer will also help define best practices, mentor team members, and participate in product roadmap discussions to ensure scalability and security-by-design. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
