Founding Embedded & IoT Engineer (Startup Equity-Based)

Our innovation lab at iTekkie Group is seeking a Founding Embedded & IoT Engineer in a fractional role to lead the hands-on development of our core embedded hardware platform. This is a founding-level role for a senior engineer who is comfortable building systems from first principles and taking full technical ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Design and iterate on compact, production-ready PCBs for constrained embedded systems.
• Develop and optimize low-level embedded firmware in C/C++ for low-power microcontrollers.
• Implement real-time processing across multi-sensor systems, including IMUs and biometric sensors.
• Integrate embedded systems with mobile and backend layers via secure Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
• Support the transition from prototype to large-scale, manufacturing-ready designs.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems, hardware design, PCB development, or IoT engineering, specifically within high-growth or high-intensity hardware environments.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven embedded C/C++ expertise, including power management and RTOS environments.
• Knowledge of sensor integration and power management.
• Experience working with IMU and biometric sensor data in embedded environments.
• Practical knowledge of BLE connectivity and device-level security.
• Ability to operate within a broader technical ecosystem, collaborating as needed with the founders, product designers, and external partners while retaining ownership of core architectural decisions and technical direction.
