We’re looking for a Senior Developer to work on embedded systems and cutting-edge development projects involving mobile work machinery, networked industrial equipment and sensors.

Your Role

In this position, you can expect technically captivating projects across domains such as industrial automation, heavy machinery and autonomous vehicles. You’ll collaborate on networked embedded systems, mobile work machines, intelligent sensors and protocols developing robust, scalable systems that power cutting edge products.

Depending on your background and interests, your focus can be on different layers of the technology stack: on the user interfaces, in the middleware layers or down at the RTOS and bare-metal end.

• On the GUI and middleware development, our typical projects are part of or related to different kinds of mobile work machines or industrial systems. Most often we're talking about more or less distributed, Linux-based systems with C++, Qt and QML being the typical main technologies.
• Closer to the hardware, we are talking about individual sensors and controllers, usually as part of systems like mentioned above. Our tools of choice are usually C or C++ on top of embedded Linux, some RTOS or bare metal.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled embedded systems developer with a strong technical foundation. Ideally, you bring:

• At least five years of experience in embedded systems development
• Solid understanding of C++, Qt and QML if your focus is on GUI/middleware
• Strong skills in both C and C++, and familiarity with real-time systems if you work closer to the hardware
• Proficiency with Linux; experience with Yocto is considered a plus
• Familiarity with communication protocols and field buses — exact technologies aren’t critical, but a genuine passion for embedded tech and curiosity to work directly with hardware are
• Bonus: experience with other programming languages such as Python or C#
• A mindset geared toward writing clean, efficient and reliable code
  
  

Beyond the technical skills, we value people who take initiative, work independently, and thrive in small, agile teams. You enjoy collaborating, learning continuously, and contributing to a culture of shared ownership and responsibility. Fluency in English is essential, and Finnish is a nice bonus.

Some projects can involve 1–2 on-site days per week in the Pirkanmaa region. Thus location close to Tampere is preferred.

The salary range for this position is approximately 5000–6000 euros per month, depending on experience.
