Position Overview
We are seeking a
Senior ECAD PCB Design Engineer
to lead the design and development of complex PCBAs for next-generation enterprise server and storage platforms, including
2U24 Servers and 2U20 JBOD architectures
. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-speed digital PCB design, Mentor Graphics tools, signal integrity, power distribution, and system-level integration while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
PCB Design & Architecture
-
Lead schematic capture, PCB architecture, component selection, and board-level design.
-
Design complex multilayer PCBAs for enterprise servers, storage systems, and networking platforms.
-
Develop power distribution networks (PDN) and power sequencing solutions.
-
Ensure designs meet electrical, thermal, manufacturability, reliability, and cost objectives.
High-Speed Digital Design
-
Design and validate high-speed interfaces including:
-
PCIe Gen4/Gen5
-
SAS (12G/24G)
-
SATA
-
NVMe
-
Ethernet (10G–400G)
-
DDR4/DDR5
-
SERDES-based interconnects
-
Perform design reviews focusing on:
-
Controlled impedance
-
Differential pair routing
-
Length matching
-
Crosstalk mitigation
-
Power integrity
-
EMI/EMC considerations
-
Via optimization and return path continuity
System Integration
-
Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Validation teams.

Support board placement, connector selection, airflow optimization, and chassis integration.
-
Balance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost constraints.
Technical Leadership
-
Lead engineering design reviews and technical discussions.
-
Develop PCB design standards, methodologies, and best practices.
-
Mentor junior engineers and review outsourced PCB layouts.
-
Ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Manufacturing & Product Support
-
Support prototype builds, NPI activities, and production ramp.
-
Troubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and field reliability issues.
-
Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) initiatives.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

5–10+ years
of experience in complex PCB/PCBA design.

Knowledge of thermal design for high-density systems.

Experience working with ODMs, EMS providers, and external design partners.

Exposure to firmware/hardware integration, platform bring-up, lifecycle management, and failure analysis.
