Job Description

Robotics Engineer (Salvador) — Remote, Full-Time

Rex.zone connects mid-senior robotics engineers with remote full-time opportunities building and deploying real-world robotics systems. You will design, implement, and validate autonomous and semi-autonomous robot software across perception, SLAM/localization, motion planning, controls, simulation, and field reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ROS2 nodes, services, and interfaces for robot autonomy
  • Build perception pipelines using computer vision and sensor fusion (RGB-D, LiDAR, IMU)
  • Implement localization and mapping (SLAM), calibration, and drift mitigation
  • Design motion planning and control modules; tune controllers for stability and smoothness
  • Create simulation-first validation in Gazebo/Isaac Sim with reproducible test scenarios
  • Write automated tests, CI checks, and performance benchmarks for releases
  • Analyze logs/telemetry to diagnose field issues and improve reliability, latency, and uptime
  • Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product on safety requirements and deployment processes

Qualifications

  • Mid-senior experience building production robotics systems
  • Strong Python and C++ on Linux; debugging, profiling, and tooling
  • Hands-on experience with ROS2 and distributed robot software
  • Understanding of kinematics, control systems, and state estimation
  • Experience with SLAM, motion planning, and navigation stacks
  • Comfortable working remotely with clear documentation and async collaboration

How To Apply

  • Search and apply to Robotics Jobs Salvador on Rex.zone
  • Share a portfolio of deployments, simulations, and system-level debugging
  • Include links to ROS packages, demos, or technical write-ups
