Robotics Jobs Florianópolis — Open Role: Robotics Engineer (Remote)
Join Rex.zone to build production autonomy software for robotic platforms. You will ship features across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control—improving safety, reliability, and real-world performance under latency and sensor-noise constraints.
What You Will Do
-
Develop and maintain ROS/ROS 2 nodes, messages, services, and actions
-
Implement SLAM, localization, mapping, sensor fusion, and state estimation pipelines
-
Build motion planning, trajectory optimization, and control components (e.g., PID/MPC)
-
Integrate camera/LiDAR/IMU/GNSS data streams and coordinate transforms
-
Create simulation-based testing (Gazebo/Ignition/Isaac) and CI checks for autonomy modules
-
Profile and optimize real-time performance on edge compute
-
Document calibration, operational procedures, and on-robot debugging playbooks
Required Qualifications
-
Mid-Senior experience delivering robotics/autonomy software
-
Strong C++ and Python skills
-
Hands-on ROS/ROS 2 experience
-
Understanding of SLAM, sensor fusion, localization, mapping, motion planning, and control systems
-
Linux tooling, debugging, and version control proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
-
Robotics computer vision/perception experience
-
Calibration, time synchronization, and coordinate frames expertise
-
Embedded/edge deployment experience with real-time constraints
-
Simulation-first development and test automation
-
Exposure to safety, reliability, and field operations
