Role Description
The Robotics Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in El Segundo, CA. The Robotics Engineer will design, develop, and implement robotic systems and automation solutions that integrate with the company’s Manufacturing Language Model (MLM™). Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and testing control algorithms, programming and configuring robotic hardware and software, troubleshooting system performance, and iterating on designs to improve reliability and throughput. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in software, operations, and product to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable automation solutions, as well as documenting designs and participating in safety and compliance reviews.
Qualifications

Robotics skills, including robotic system design, integration, and control of industrial or collaborative robots.

Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and performance optimization of automation systems.

Process automation experience, including designing, implementing, and scaling automated workflows in manufacturing or related environments.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, presenting technical concepts, and writing clear documentation.

Software development skills, such as proficiency in languages commonly used in robotics (e.g., Python, C++, ROS) and familiarity with simulation tools.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge of industrial automation standards, safety practices, and hardware (PLCs, sensors, actuators) is highly beneficial.

Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, or production environments and contributing to end-to-end automation projects is a plus.
