Role Description The Robotics Engineer role is a full-time, remote position focused on designing, developing, and implementing robotic systems and automated solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing requirements, building and testing prototypes, programming and integrating control software, and optimizing robotic workflows for performance and safety. The Robotics Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, document system designs, and troubleshoot issues in production environments. The role also involves continuous improvement of existing systems, contributing to process automation strategies, and staying current with emerging robotics and AI technologies to recommend enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in robotics, including design, control systems, and integration of hardware and software components.
  • Advanced analytical skills for solving complex technical problems, interpreting data, and optimizing robotic processes.
  • Experience with process automation, including designing and implementing automated workflows in industrial or commercial settings.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, documenting technical work, and presenting solutions to stakeholders.
  • Background in software development, such as proficiency in languages commonly used in robotics (e.g., Python, C/C++, ROS) and version control tools.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with sensors, actuators, PLCs, and industrial communication protocols is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with simulation tools, CAD software, or machine learning for robotics is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
