About MOSart Semiconductors

MOSart Semiconductors is India’s emerging mixed-signal semiconductor leader — a Bengaluru-based fabless IC design company building the world’s first of its kind mixed-signal SoC for a large and fast-growing energy market. We design in India, for the world.

Our founding team comprises veterans from IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, and ams-OSRAM — with 25+ patents and chips already running in Tesla and BMW vehicles for over a decade. We are recognised as India’s Best Electronics Startup (IESA Technovation Award 2026) , backed by MeitY, DRDO, and TDB, and supported by two of the world’s leading foundries who have committed to the process node we are designing on.

We don’t talk about everything we’re building in a job posting — but we promise the details are worth the conversation.

The Opportunity

This is not a typical engineering role. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position — the first dedicated digital design hire at MOSart, working directly with the CEO and CTO as the digital design lead. Your ceiling here is strictly your own capability. We are looking for budding leaders who want to rewrite history, not engineers looking for their next comfortable assignment.

If you join us, you will:

Be the architect of digital subsystems on a production-intent, automotive-grade mixed-signal SoC — from RTL to tape-out

Work at the intersection of advanced digital design, ARM processor integration, lock-step safety architectures, and mixed-signal interfaces

Design chips that will be deployed in some of the most demanding real-world environments on the planet

Lead and mentor engineers as the digital team grows — this is a leadership role, not just an individual contributor position

Grow — as fast and as far as your talent and ambition take you. There is no artificial ceiling here.

Be part of India’s semiconductor moment — designing in India, for the world

Key Responsibilities

RTL design and microarchitecture of complex digital blocks on a mixed-signal automotive SoC

Design and implementation of control logic, state machines, and high-speed communication interfaces

ARM Cortex-M processor subsystem integration, including lock-step configuration for functional safety

Collaborate closely with the analog team on mixed-signal partitioning and digital wrapper design

Functional coverage closure, lint, CDC, and RDC sign-off

Support synthesis, static timing analysis, and DFT (Design for Test) flows

Own design documentation: specifications, block diagrams, and review sign-offs

Build and mentor a growing team of digital design engineers, setting the technical bar and design culture for the function

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

4–5 years of hands-on RTL design experience in SystemVerilog or Verilog

Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver complex digital blocks end-to-end

Strong fundamentals: FSMs, pipelines, clock domain crossing, reset strategies, low-power techniques

Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor)

Solid understanding of synthesis and static timing analysis

B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or VLSI Design

Good to Have

Experience integrating ARM Cortex-M series processor IP

Exposure to lock-step processor architectures or redundancy-based safety designs

Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety requirements and ASIL decomposition for digital design

Experience with requirements management tools and functional safety workflows

Exposure to mixed-signal IC design environments

Experience with UVM-based verification environments

Familiarity with DFT / ATPG flows

Domain knowledge in power electronics, energy storage, or automotive systems

Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers, reviewing designs, or leading a small technical team

Hands-on experience using AI-assisted or agentic tools to accelerate RTL design, verification, or documentation workflows

What We Offer

Competitive compensation benchmarked to top-tier semiconductor companies

ESOPs — meaningful equity at the earliest, highest-upside stage of the company

Direct mentorship from founders with pedigrees spanning IIT, ams-OSRAM, Micron, and TI

Patent co-authorship opportunities — your design innovations will be credited

A high-trust, high-ownership culture where your judgment shapes the product

Your growth is bounded only by your capability — we are building leaders, not just engineers

Flexible work arrangements across Bengaluru and Hyderabad

Why This, Why Now

A new process node — one that enables a class of mixed-signal SoCs that simply could not be built before — has just become available at two of the world’s leading foundries. The chip we are designing could not have existed two years ago. We are building it now, before incumbents have even responded. The engineer who joins us today will have their fingerprints on something genuinely historic.

India has long been a destination for design services. MOSart is building something different: a world-class semiconductor product company, designed and owned in India. Come build it with us.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a brief note — tell us about a digital block you designed independently, and what you’d want to build if you had no constraints — to [email protected] with the subject line “Digital Design Lead — [Your Name]”.

Every application is reviewed personally by the founders. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a real design conversation — not a trick question, just an honest one.
