About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team at Applied Materials. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings that support our advanced manufacturing equipment. Your technical expertise and critical thinking skills will be essential in performing engineering analysis, generating comprehensive test reports, developing innovative solutions, and creating detailed documentation for product releases. You will coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with 7-10 years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar disciplines, along with extensive experience in project management and familiarity with the Applied Materials product development lifecycle. Demonstrated leadership skills, the ability to lead small teams, and a comprehensive understanding of RF system design and electromagnetic theory are highly desirable. Candidates should have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
Responsibilities

Run tests in the laboratory to assess power delivery performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform concept and feasibility tests for potential improvements.

Develop and implement innovative concepts to address complex product issues and engineering challenges.

Lead or execute engineering projects, including research and development of new technologies aligned with company goals.

Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex electrical and electronic problems, providing effective solutions.

Perform detailed engineering analyses of complex systems and components to ensure compliance with specifications and performance standards.

Interface with internal teams and external customers to address high-value electrical issues and resolve customer concerns effectively.

Generate comprehensive product specifications independently and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Define, coordinate, and document engineering tests, ensuring thorough validation and quality control.

Participate in design reviews, validate designs, and select appropriate components, including grounding and shielding solutions.
