WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?

• RF System Design & Development:
• Design and optimize RF hardware, including PCBs, transmission lines, and matching networks.
• Analyze and mitigate RF interference, coupling, and detuning phenomena.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate radios and antennas into final products.
• Embedded Antenna Design & Optimization:
• Select, design, and optimize embedded antennas for performance, efficiency, and form factor constraints.
• Conduct simulations and parametric analyses using 3D electromagnetic tools (e.g., CST Studio Suite).
• Diagnose and resolve antenna coupling, detuning, and radiation issues.
• RF Testing & Validation:
• Develop and execute RF validation plans, including tests for performance, compliance, and coexistence.
• Utilize measurement tools such as VNA, spectrum analyzers, and anechoic chambers.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations for design improvements.
• Regulatory Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure RF designs comply with applicable standards (e.g., EN300328, EN300220, EN300330).
• Perform standards analysis and support certification processes for radio equipment.
• Address EMF and RF regulatory requirements.
• Wireless Technology Expertise:
• Analyze and optimize radio coexistence for technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE),
• ZigBee, Thread, and IEEE 802.15.4.
• Evaluate system-level performance in 868 MHz and other relevant frequency bands.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, and compliance teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Document design decisions, test procedures, and compliance reports.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?

• Strong understanding of RF and electromagnetic fundamentals: propagation, transmission lines, matching, coupling, radiation, gain and efficiency.
• Strong experience in RF hardware development on PCB: radio integration, layout constraints, PCB/enclosure/environment interactions, matching, materials and grounding effects.
• Advanced expertise in embedded antennas: selection, optimization, placement, tuning and diagnosis of coupling and detuning phenomena.
• Proficiency with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools (i.e. CST Studio Suite or equivalent) and parametric analysis.
• Proficiency with RF/Filter/antenna measurement means: VNA, spectrum analyzer, anechoic chamber/RF enclosure, instrumentation, calibrations and measurement uncertainty handling.
• Ability to define RF validation plans, execute tests, analyze results and formulate actionable technical recommendations.
• Knowledge of Wi Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, ZigBee, Thread, IEEE 802.15.4 and 868 MHz technologies, with the ability to analyze radio coexistence.
• Solid understanding of the standards and regulatory frameworks applicable to radio equipment (RF, EMF), and the ability to perform standards analysis, i.e. EN300328, EN300220, EN300330.
