QA Engineer - Embedded Software

Key responsibilities:

You will be part of a highly productive team which ensures the quality, reliability, and safety of a high-end embedded device for biometric authentication. You will be designing test methods and test plans for regression and stability, gathering and parsing of test results to establish baselines and to assess feature and product quality. You will be providing reporting mechanisms for analytics of test pass/fail detection. You will be responsible for testing the device and the integration between it and an administrating system.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-4 years of testing experience (Component/Integration/System-Integration/UAT/API testing)
• Self-motivated with ability to work without supervision
• Good knowledge in Linux and Windows administration
• Comfortable working with shell and scripting
• Comfortable working with terminal
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience testing embedded systems
• Understanding of Networking – TCP/IP, SSH, TLS, VPN
• Report defects and follow-through as necessary to complete the testing cycle
• Experience with issue tracking systems like Jira, Confluence
• Experience with TCMS
• Provide timely status updates
• Excellent in verbal and written communications in English
• Results oriented
• Passion to work in a high dynamic environment with start-up culture
