Project Description

We are looking for a QA Engineer with a strong background in testing video and audio solutions to join our team in Kraków. In this hybrid role, your primary mission will be to lead the verification and validation of advanced audio and video conferencing products, ensuring top-tier performance for our global customers.


Responsibilities

Video & Audio Solution Testing (Primary Focus)

  • Lead hands-on testing of video and audio products, including cameras, microphones, and conferencing systems.
  • Analyze, design, and execute test scenarios focused on real-world audio and video usage, assessing streaming quality, feature sets, and cross-platform integration.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to establish and maintain the highest quality standards for multimedia devices.

Embedded & Cross-Platform Testing

  • Perform testing of multimedia device performance in embedded Linux and Android environments, as well as Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS.
  • Validate device connectivity with a focus on AV quality over USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi/Ethernet.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Review requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test coverage, with particular emphasis on audio and video features.
  • Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases to ensure thorough evaluation of AV quality and product risks.
  • Prepare and present clear, data-driven reports on product quality.


Mandatory Skills

  • 4–5 years of experience in QA/testing roles.
  • Advanced experience working with embedded Linux and Android environments.
  • Strong cross-platform testing experience (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS), with a focus on audio and video functionality.
  • Good understanding of AV codecs, streaming protocols, and multimedia performance metrics.
  • Understanding of USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi/Ethernet protocols.
  • Proven ability to document test results clearly and communicate findings effectively.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark) and debugging tools (e.g., ADB) for analyzing embedded and cross-platform communication issues.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python or Bash) to support test automation and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience testing video and/or audio products, such as cameras, conferencing devices, microphones, video bars, or streaming solutions.
  • Experience with automation frameworks for video and audio product testing.
  • Knowledge of Bash scripting for task automation in Linux and embedded environments.
