Job Description

Fortaegis is a fast-scaling, highly ambitious and cutting-edge semiconductor company. We are looking for a Product Hardware Engineer who has experience building, testing, and bringing products to life. You will play a key role in supporting the development of our products by assembling prototypes, preparing development platforms, validating hardware, and creating customer demonstration and evaluation systems. Working closely with our hardware, FPGA, software, and ASIC teams, you will ensure that everyone has the hardware they need to develop, test, and showcase our technology.
We are looking for candidates with not only a practical hands-on skillset, but also an exceptional mindset, willing to go above and beyond to help make our breakthrough product even better.
  • Practical experience working with electronic hardware, embedded systems, or lab equipment
  • Comfortable assembling, configuring, and troubleshooting electronic systems
  • High level familiarity with PCB hardware, embedded platforms, or FPGA/ASIC-based systems is preferred
  • Experience using common laboratory equipment for hardware debugging
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude
  • Comfortable working across multiple engineering disciplines in a fast-paced environment
  • A willingness to learn and grow is more important than extensive industry experience
  • Assemble, configure, and validate prototype hardware platforms
  • Build and maintain development setups for the FPGA, firmware, and software teams
  • Prepare customer evaluation systems, demonstration units, and exhibition setups
  • Support the bring-up and testing of new hardware prototypes
  • Perform functional validation of boards and identify hardware issues during development
  • Coordinate with manufacturing partners to track prototype builds, resolve issues, and verify delivered hardware
  • Support internal testing, customer demonstrations, trade shows, and other hands-on engineering activities as needed
The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to contribute directly to the development of our groundbreaking products. You will work on everything from early engineering prototypes to customer evaluation platforms, helping transform innovative ideas into working systems. As part of a dynamic and collaborative engineering team, you will gain experience across hardware, FPGA, software, and system integration while working at the forefront of secure semiconductor technology.
