Job objectives:

Work on R&D projects to create high-quality products or systems

Ensure the LINUX foundation on Landis+Gyr embedded products.

Activities

Participate in the definition of the product architecture with the other electronics and industrialization teams.

Assist in the definition of global software architecture for complex products.

Implement third-party software (real-time kernel, operating system, database communication stack , etc.).

Research and estimate the effort to integrate new versions of third-party applications.

Ensure consistency in the BSP system.

Advise/propose automation processes and collaborative work tools.

Ensure technology monitoring and assess the relevance of taking into account patches on CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities Exposure).

Define and apply L+G patches.

Participate in technical meetings with the customer.

Participate in responses to calls for tenders.

Work regularly with other teams (internal R&D and external) for product development (meetings can be in English).

Perform bug fixes and participate in code cross-reviews.

Carry out unit and first integration tests.

Draft documents relating to the activities in charge.

Use software development management tools (management of sources, bugs or incidents, etc.).

Report on the progress of his/her work and write a report.

Develop unit testing or integration tools.

Develop tools to support other activities (industrialization, after-sales service, production).

Participate in bug analysis groups for other development teams.

Participate in the implementation of security, identification and encryption solutions.

Participate in international standardization working groups or internal standardization groups for the group.

Lead internal working groups (2 to 3 people).

Train new hires/contractors on the software development platform, product architecture and related tools.

Comply with HSE safety rules and in particular on the aspects of electrical risks
