Junior Robotics Engineer

About The Role

As a Junior Robotics Engineer at SoftServe, you will join our growing Robotics Group and work alongside experienced engineers on innovative agriculture and industrial robotics projects. This is a learning‑oriented role where you will gain hands‑on experience across the full lifecycle of robotic solutions — from simulation and prototyping to real‑world testing.

You’ll contribute to projects focused on factory digitalization and indoor robotics, helping build systems that interact with plants and production environments. With strong mentorship and a supportive team, you’ll develop your technical skills while making a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of robotic solutions such as mobile robots and robotic manipulators
• Assist in building and testing prototypes and production‑ready components
• Contribute to software development using C++ and Python under guidance from senior engineers
• Participate in robotics simulations and help validate solutions in virtual and real‑world environments
• Assist with hardware–software integration and system testing
• Learn and apply basic robotics concepts in control, sensing, and motion
• Support research on modern robotics approaches and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with team members and participate in technical discussions and knowledge sharing
  
  
  

Requirements

• Degree (or final‑year student) in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with robotics principles, control systems, and algorithms
• Introductory experience with C++ or Python
• Experience in modeling dynamical systems or physical processes
• Exposure to simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink, Mathematica, Modelica, IsaacSim, or Gazebo
• Willingness to learn hardware and software integration concepts
• Interest in robotics domains such as automation, mobile robots, or drones
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher, both spoken and written
