Role Description The Junior Embedded Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and testing of embedded software for CITiLIGHT’s smart lighting and smart building products. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and maintaining firmware modules, debugging and resolving software issues, and collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of system components. The role also involves supporting IoT-enabled solutions, participating in code reviews, and documenting designs, test cases, and deployment procedures. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, requiring close coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient embedded systems.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Embedded Software Programming and experience working with Embedded Software on microcontrollers or embedded platforms.
  • Hands-on skills in Software Development for embedded systems, including C/C++ or similar languages and use of version control tools.
  • Ability to perform effective Debugging of embedded applications, diagnose hardware-software interaction issues, and use debugging and profiling tools.
  • Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts, communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP), and integration of embedded devices into cloud or edge platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with bare-metal development, basic knowledge of hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C), and reading schematics or datasheets.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Interest in smart cities, energy-efficient systems, and emerging technologies in smart lighting and smart building domains.
