We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and feel a sense of belonging.

We’re currently looking for a Junior Embedded C Engineer to join our Radio Baseband Software Development teams, working on cutting-edge 5G — and shaping what comes next with 6G.

What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll contribute to the Uplink or Downlink Physical Layer (L1) of our Baseband software — a critical foundation of Ericsson’s market-leading 5G Radio Access Network (RAN), and a key area of innovation for future 6G technologies.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality baseband software using C, Python.
  • Take part in the study, implementation, and verification of new 5G features, with opportunities to contribute to 6G development
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional, multi-cultural teams in a supportive and knowledge-sharing environment
  • Managed and optimized AI development tools to streamline model training, testing, and deployment workflows
  • Contribute ideas, improvements, and solutions — your voice matters here

What We’re Looking For

  • Passionate about embedded software development — he/she demonstrates strong ownership and commitment to quality.
  • Strong interest and experience in C and Python for real-time systems — he/she applies solid programming principles in performance-critical environments.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including 5G or 4G (3GPP specifications).
  • Experience with one or more of the following areas, where he/she has contributed technically:
  • Signal processing: RF or air-interface measurements, multi-core DSP programming in real-time environments and Embedded system design patterns
  • A curious mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving — he/she works effectively within diverse teams.
  • Motivation to keep learning and grow with evolving technologies — he/she embraces continuous development.
  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Wireless Communication, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with EMCA is nice to have.

Why Ericsson
