Job Description
<p>The Hardware Test Engineer will perform product testing, hardware verification, board bring-up, troubleshooting, certification testing, and anomaly reporting. The position also involves hardware system design, schematic and PCB-related activities, signal integrity measurements, EMI/EMC testing, prototype build management, and functional safety product development in accordance with IEC 61508.</p>
<p>The position requires at least three years of hardware testing experience.</p>
<h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2>
<ul>
<li>Perform product testing based on applicable experience and product requirements.</li>
<li>Map product and system requirements to hardware testing activities.</li>
<li>Create hardware test cases.</li>
<li>Perform hardware board troubleshooting.Conduct board bring-up activities.</li>
<li>Identify and report anomalies.</li>
<li>Read and update hardware schematics.Perform hardware soldering activities.</li>
<li>Conduct certification testing.Update hardware test stands.</li>
<li>Diagnose and fix hardware board issues.</li>
<li>Design microprocessor- and microcontroller-based systems.</li>
<li>Design memory systems.</li>
<li>Design circuits incorporating FPGA, CPLD, and PAL devices.</li>
<li>Design, test, and certify Ethernet and USB interfaces.</li>
<li>Work with digital electronics, analog electronics, power supplies, and I/O circuits.</li>
<li>Use schematic capture and PCB layout design tools.</li>
<li>Perform board-level and system-level design verification testing.</li>
<li>Apply EMI noise reduction techniques and PCB layout countermeasures.</li>
<li>Conduct testing for EMI/EMC regulatory certifications.</li>
<li>Perform signal integrity measurements using network analyzers and oscilloscopes.</li>
<li>Perform product testing against environmental and certification test standards.</li>
<li>Manage prototype builds, from BOM creation through build change requests.</li>
<li>Support functional safety product development in accordance with IEC 61508.</li>
