Job Description

Hardware Engineer

Full-Time | LogiSync | Cleveland, Ohio

Role Overview

Join a team that works on real embedded systems solving real-world technical challenges across industrial, aerospace, defense-adjacent, medical, and connected-device applications.

At LogiSync, hardware engineers work directly on complex product development efforts involving PCB design, embedded electronics, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration with firmware and test teams.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys practical design work, technical ownership, and contributing across the full product lifecycle: from requirements through validation and release.

You will work closely with experienced engineers, support active customer programs, and help build products that operate in demanding real-world environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and develop embedded hardware for customer programs across multiple industries
  • Create schematics, support PCB layout, and guide component selection
  • Collaborate on multilayer board development and design-for-manufacturing decisions
  • Work closely with firmware engineers to define interfaces and support integration
  • Participate in board bring-up, debugging, validation, and root-cause troubleshooting
  • Contribute to requirements discussions and technical design reviews
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and design iteration
  • Participate in customer-facing technical discussions when appropriate

Required Technical Background
  • 3–7 years of hardware engineering experience
  • Experience developing embedded electronics and PCB-based systems
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit fundamentals
  • Experience with one or more PCB design environments: Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad
  • Familiarity with component selection, schematic capture, and layout review
  • Comfort debugging hardware in lab environments using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and bench instrumentation
  • Ability to work effectively across hardware, firmware, and test functions

Ideal Experience
  • Embedded systems development
  • Mixed-signal board design
  • Power systems
  • Communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Industrial, aerospace, defense, or medical product environments
  • Design work requiring reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory awareness

What Success Looks Like
  • Hardware designs move efficiently from concept into working prototypes
  • Technical issues are surfaced early and solved methodically
  • Projects stay aligned with budget and delivery expectations
  • Engineering teams maintain strong cross-functional coordination
  • Delivery capacity strengthens as the company grows and takes on more work
  • Customer programs remain predictable, with fewer surprises and fewer red-status projects

Why LogiSync

For more than 30 years, LogiSync has helped customers solve difficult embedded-system problems across products that matter in the physical world. Today the company is building on that technical foundation with new energy, stronger delivery systems, and a growing pipeline of meaningful engineering work. This is a chance to join a team where your technical judgment matters, your work is visible, and your growth can accelerate quickly.
