The Role
The Role
- Lead mechanical design and integration of delivery robots into last-mile delivery ecosystem
- Own mechanical systems for in-van robot docking, charging, storage, deployment, and retrieval
- Design station-side cart docking and robot handoff workflows
- Translate operational requirements into production-ready mechanical designs
- Partner with cross-functional teams for end-to-end system integration

Drive designs through concept, prototyping, validation, and production
- Strong mechanical design expertise in vehicle engineering and robotics hardware
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures
- Ability to balance robustness, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability in high-volume logistics
- Knowledge of safety, ergonomics, and regulatory requirements (vehicle and workplace safety standards)
- Experience optimizing designs for cost, manufacturability, durability, and ease of maintenance

Ability to rapidly iterate designs based on real-world feedback and field testing
