What to expect:

Design and develop robust hardware solutions for complex automotive HMI applications, covering analog, digital, micro-controller architecture, and power supplies, utilizing PADS Pro.

Evaluate customer requirements, industry standards, and internal design guidelines to establish detailed electrical specifications and hardware requirements, ensuring full traceability within DOORS.

Create circuit diagrams.

Perform core engineering analyses, including worst-case calculations (WCC), electrical simulations, and thermal analyses.

Review circuit schematics and component configurations by interpreting datasheets and application notes to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design guidelines.

Define test setups, write test specifications, and perform hardware electrical tests and validation on development samples.

Assess proposed supplier corrective actions, track implementation status and verify closure of findings.

Communicate critical issues promptly to the customer and responsible departments; escalate according to project rules.

Coordinate project activities for allocated colleagues, offering technical mentorship. Work closely with cross-functional, international teams (software, mechanical, project management) and manage interfaces with suppliers.
What you bring along:

Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in hardware development, with a strong background in the automotive industry (experience with HMI products is a significant advantage).

Solid competence in schematic design, worst-case calculations, electrical simulation, and hardware testing.

Familiarity with automotive standards and processes (ASPICE, Functional Safety/ISO 26262, DFMEA) is highly advantageous.

Structured documentation skills, attention to detail and risk assessment capability.

Experience interacting with suppliers and tracking corrective actions.

Good communication skills in English; German is an advantage depending on project.
