Role Description This is a remote, contract Hardware Engineer internship role. The intern will support the design, prototyping, and testing of hardware components for GPS-enabled footwear products. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with circuit design, hardware schematics, PCB layout reviews, and hardware validation under the guidance of senior engineers. The intern will help troubleshoot hardware issues, document test results, and collaborate with cross-functional team members such as firmware and product designers. The role also involves participating in design reviews, contributing to improvements in product reliability and performance, and maintaining clear technical documentation.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in hardware development, including basic understanding of embedded systems and product development lifecycles.
  • Skills in circuit design and electronics hardware design, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and datasheets.
  • Knowledge of general hardware and computer hardware concepts, including interfaces, sensors, and power management.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and basic hardware testing methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
  • Interest in consumer electronics, wearables, or IoT products; experience with GPS or wireless modules is a plus.
