Hardware Engineer – Sensor & Imaging Systems
to strengthen their development team.
The Role
As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of advanced sensor and imaging systems. You will design, integrate and validate the electronic hardware that enables high-performance camera and sensing solutions used in demanding industrial applications.
You'll work closely with system architects, optical engineers, embedded software developers and mechanical engineers to translate complex requirements into reliable, manufacturable products.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complete imaging solutions, from early concept development and prototyping through validation and transfer into production.
What you'll do

Design and develop analog and digital electronic hardware for sensor and imaging systems.

Create schematics, select components and support PCB design activities.

Integrate image sensors, illumination systems, communication interfaces and supporting electronics.

Develop and test hardware prototypes and support system bring-up.

Perform troubleshooting, measurements and root-cause analysis using laboratory equipment.

Work on signal integrity, power integrity, EMC and reliability aspects of hardware designs.

Collaborate with embedded software engineers during hardware and firmware integration.

Support system validation, calibration and production test development.
-
Document designs, test results and engineering decisions.

Contribute to improving hardware development processes and engineering standards.
Your profile
You're a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working in a multidisciplinary high-tech environment. You combine strong technical expertise with a practical mindset and enjoy taking ownership of your designs.
Furthermore you bring:

A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field.

Experience in electronic hardware development, preferably within a high-tech product environment.

Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.

Experience with schematic design and PCB development tools.

Understanding of sensor interfaces, embedded electronics and communication protocols.

Experience with laboratory measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A collaborative working style and good communication skills.
-
Good command of English; Dutch is a plus.
Experience that would be an advantage

Experience with CMOS image sensors, camera systems or optical sensing technology.

Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as MIPI CSI, LVDS, USB, Ethernet or GigE Vision.

Experience with FPGA-based electronics or embedded hardware architectures.

Knowledge of EMC testing and compliance.

Experience developing products for semiconductor, medical, industrial or precision technology markets.

Experience taking hardware designs from prototype phase into volume production.
