Company Description
Inkers Technology is based in Bengaluru with offices in USA and UAE. We specialise in designing and
developing deep large-scale AI and ML solutions for the Construction Industry. With a focus on AI,
computer vision, and deep neural networks, we have extended our capabilities into the construction
industry with our innovative AI-powered construction management solution,
“Kael”
— an AI project manager that predicts delays, flags risks, automates reporting, and prevents cost overruns with
real-time construction intelligence. Our hardware platform,
“Observance”
, uses LiDAR scanning,
thermal imaging, and AI-powered analysis to deliver BIM Models, deviation detection, and as-built
intelligence. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of technology across diverse sectors.
Role Description
We're hiring a
Hardware Engineer
with hands-on experience in embedded systems and robotics sensing. You will own the integration, bring-up, and validation of multi-sensor systems — LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs — running on edge computing platforms. This is a role for someone who loves getting hardware to work reliably in the field, not just on the bench.
Key Responsibilities
-
Integrate, configure, and validate LiDAR, camera, IMU, and other sensors into production-grade multi-sensor systems.
-
Develop and maintain ROS/ROS2 hardware interfaces, sensor drivers, and launch configurations.
-
Perform hardware bring-up, low-level debugging, and end-to-end field testing on embedded Linux platforms.
-
Own sensor calibration — intrinsic and extrinsic — and implement synchronisation pipelines for time-critical sensor fusion.
-
Work directly with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet) to debug hardware-level issues.
-
Collaborate closely with AI, Computer Vision, and Robotics teams to ensure sensor data quality meets downstream algorithm requirements.
-
Contribute to system-level documentation, calibration reports, and hardware test procedures.
-
Support motor control and actuation systems (BLDC motors, servo systems) where required.
Qualifications
-
1–2 years of professional experience in hardware/embedded systems engineering.
-
Proven, hands-on experience with LiDAR sensors and multi-sensor system integration.
-
Solid working knowledge of ROS/ROS2 — you've written nodes, written launch files, and debugged tf trees.
-
Strong C++ and Python skills for embedded and robotics development.
-
Experience with embedded Linux environments, bash scripting, and standard debugging tools (GDB, oscilloscope, logic analyser).
-
Familiarity with serial communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
-
Understanding of sensor calibration techniques (intrinsic and extrinsic).
-
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
-
Familiarity with motor systems (BLDC motors, servo drives) and control principles.
-
Exposure to sensor fusion, SLAM, or point cloud processing.
-
Experience in a product-focused startup or fast-paced R&D environment.
-
Proactively uses AI/ML solutions and agentic AI platforms to improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance engineering output.
