Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Battery Management System (BMS) Hardware Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and validation of hardware systems for high-voltage battery management applications across electric vehicles and stationary energy storage solutions.
You will work on BMS hardware architecture, analog and digital circuit design, battery monitoring and protection circuits, component selection, PCB development, prototyping, board bring-up, and validation activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced battery systems for electric vehicles and energy storage applications within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, and international team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop hardware solutions for high-voltage Battery Management Systems.

Design and analyze mixed-signal circuits, including signal conditioning, measurement circuits, filters, ADC/DAC interfaces, load drivers, and protection circuits.

Develop digital and communication circuits using interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C, PWM, and other relevant protocols.

Support functional safety-related hardware development activities in line with ISO 26262, including safety concept implementation, diagnostic coverage considerations, fault detection mechanisms, and safety-oriented design reviews.

Work on microcontroller, ASIC, and AFE-based circuit designs for battery monitoring and control applications.

Create schematic designs, PCB layouts, and hardware design documentation using tools such as Altium Designer.

Perform circuit simulations using SPICE-based simulation tools.

Support E/E architecture design, including HV/LV interfaces, contactors, fuses, sensors, pre-charge circuits, insulation monitoring, and safety-related components.

Contribute to LV and HV wiring harness design and related electrical layout activities.

Perform component selection and support supplier evaluation for electronic and electrical components.

Conduct prototyping, board bring-up, smoke tests, debugging, and troubleshooting activities in the laboratory.

Support EMI/EMC-aware hardware design and participate in related testing and design improvement activities.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university. A Master’s degree is a plus

Experience in Battery Management System hardware design for EV, BESS, or stationary energy storage applications.

Knowledge of EV, BESS, and high-voltage battery system architectures, including HV/LV interfaces, contactors, fuses, sensors, insulation monitoring, electrical safety, and protection concepts.

Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools, preferably Altium Designer and SPICE-based simulation tools.

Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, including signal conditioning, measurement circuits, filters, ADC/DAC interfaces, load drivers, protection circuits, and microcontroller/ASIC/AFE-based designs.

Knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C, PWM, UART, and preferably Modbus or Ethernet-based communication.

Experience with laboratory testing, prototyping, board bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation of cell, module, pack, and BMS hardware systems.

Knowledge of EMI/EMC concepts, functional safety principles, ISO 26262, and relevant HV battery standards such as ISO 6469, IEC 60664, ECE R100, IEC 62619, IEC 62933, and UL 1973.

Knowledge of 2D harness design tools is a plus.

Good communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
