You will be responsible for the pre-silicon functional and performance modeling of our industry leading low power GPUs. This includes developing detailed models of the architectural and micro-architectural aspects of various blocks and IPs in the GPU and how they operate within the broader GPU design.
Description
As a Graphics (GPU) Architectural Modeling Engineer, you will:n- Drive the development, validation, and verification of advanced graphics processing unit (GPU) designs and architectures.n- Drive and develop bit-accurate architectural models for hardware/software (HW/SW) co-validation.n- Drive and develop timing-accurate architectural and micro-architectural models for performance validation and correlation.n- Drive the triage of regression failures and debug failures to root cause.n- Drive coding and modeling best-practices and improve modeling infrastructure.n- Drive multi-functional teams to best practice HW and SW solutions.n- Roll up and present results and recommendations while working closely and collaboratively across functional teams and organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in C++ Programming.nExperience with scripting languages Python, Ruby, or Perl.nMinimum of BS + 10 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of GPU, CPU, or SIMD architectures.nBackground in GPU Graphics Pipeline.nBackground in CPU or GPU Memory Hierarchies.nBackground in Advanced CPU Architecture and Micro-architecture.nUnderstanding of GP-GPU Compute.nExperience with the bring-up and debug of complex systems and micro-architectures.nExperience with turning architectural and micro-architectural specifications into executable C++ models.nExperience in performance analysis and debug.nExperience with HDLs, Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL.
