We are seeking a software developer to join our effort to advance the state of performance analysis and tuning for GPUs. You will apply knowledge of compute programming models and compute architecture to craft tools that provide impactful feedback to compute developers. You would be working on existing profiler stack and application code as well as writing targeted tests for the features you develop.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop Compute performance analysis tools for GPUs running on Linux, Windows and embedded operating systems.
- Work with tools, architecture and driver teams to design, implement and verify new features in the compute profiler stack.
- Work closely with internal and external partners including other peer organizations within NVIDIA.
- Effectively estimate and prioritize tasks in order to craft a realistic delivery schedule.
- Write fast, effective, maintainable, reliable and well detailed code.
- Provide peer reviews to other specialists including feedback on performance, scalability and correctness.
- Document requirements and designs, and review documents with partners.
- Demonstrate growth in technical and non-technical abilities.

Meet with the QA team to develop a test plan for new features.
- BS, MS or equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Strong programming ability in C, C++, and scripting languages.
- Extensive hands-on programming experience.
- Strong software optimization and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of performance analysis concepts, particularly of GPU applications.
- Basic understanding of computer architecture of x86 or ARM CPUs.

- Proficient in the use of tools that analyze performance and hardware that monitors performance.
- Experience in CUDA or GPU programming models.
- Prior experience authoring developer tools, particularly for GPUs, games, or pro visualization.

We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
