ABOUT US

⌚🤚🤖⚡ Fether Labs is building wristbands that redefine human–computer interaction. With a flick, a pinch, or a squeeze, any gesture can be programmed into a seamless command. From the mouse to the touchscreen to what has always been most natural—our hands—we’re creating the next evolution of control.

At the heart of our product is a proprietary sensor technology invented at Imperial College London. Our sensors are fundamentally different – they’re not electrodes (sEMG) and IMUs – they will allow us to create a natural, precise, and expansive set of interactions.

We are Jacques , Michael , and James —technical co-founders from Imperial College London . We are building a team to redefine how humans interact with technology. If you’re interested in joining us, please apply; and if you have any questions, contact James at [email protected] .

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an ambitious 🛠️ Founding Engineer who thrives in high-intensity, high-impact environments. You’ll take our working prototype and lead the charge to turn it into a wearable product that people 🩷 love.

This role will involve rapid design iterations and prototyping of analog circuitry towards production ready versions. In addition, you will work closely with our Software Team to provide integration of hardware and software. As we are a startup, we anticipate that you will be involved with many other aspects of the company, from CE marking and FCC certification to manufacturing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electronics development and translate our existing prototype into a commercial-grade product.
  • Rapidly iterate through design and prototype cycles to refine the product.
  • Collaborate with the Software Team to provide a seamless integration of hardware and software.
  • Contribute to certification processes (CE marking and FCC certification).
  • Engage in research and development activities to explore new products and product features.

Essentials (these are minimum requirements)

  • Excellent analog circuits engineering
  • Excellent printed circuit board (PCB) designing
  • Coding experience in C/C++
  • Soldering and fine dexterity.
  • Flexibility to take on many different roles, as needed in a fast-growth startup company.

Desirables (we do not expect you to have all of these)

  • Have previously delivered an electronic product to the market with great success.
  • Expertise in flexPCB design
  • Experience with Nordic Semiconductor chips.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to lead electronics design and prototyping in a fast-growing tech startup.
  • We have invented a proprietary sensor that you will have exclusive access to build products for.
  • Exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing.
  • £40,000 to £60,000 + Equity Package
