At Trosort, we're building the core infrastructure for a circular economy in fashion. Our mission is to stop millions of tons of textiles from ending up in landfills by building intelligent, autonomous sorting machines. The Opportunity: Your Role as a Founding Engineer

As our first engineering hire, you won't just be working on the pipeline: you will be the architect of it. You will have unparalleled ownership and impact, defining the technical DNA of Trosort for years to come.

• Architect from Scratch: Design and build our core software, data, and machine learning infrastructure on a blank canvas.
• Own the Full Stack: Take complete ownership of the ML lifecycle—from data ingestion and model development in Python to deploying highly-performant computer vision models on edge devices.
• Build the Bridge: Be the critical link between hardware and software, working hand-in-glove with the founders to bring our physical machines to life with intelligence.
• Set the Foundation: Define our tech stack, coding standards, and engineering culture. Your decisions today will shape the team of tomorrow.
• Solve the Hard Problems: Tackle ambiguous, complex challenges in real-time image classification, object detection, and system optimization.

• 💻 You are an expert in Python and have a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• 🤖 You have a proven track record of building and deploying production-ready ML & Computer Vision systems on the cloud and edge devices.
• 🛠️ You are a builder at heart. You're pragmatic, hands-on, and thrive in ambiguity, moving quickly from idea to implementation.
• 🌍 You communicate fluently and effectively in English (French is a plus).
• 📍 You are based in Belgium and excited by the prospect of building a company from its roots.
• Bonus experience we value: PyTorch/TensorFlow, MLOps on cloud platforms (GCP), OpenCV, and deploying models to edge computing environments.
