ResponsibilitiesAs a Firmware Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of R&D engineers developing next-generation electrical systems and components. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for electronic devices.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design and implement firmware solutions.
- Test and debug firmware to ensure reliability and performance.
- Document firmware design and development processes.
- Assist in the development of software validation plans and conduct performance testing.
- Provide post-production support and updates to firmware as needed.
- Stay updated with advancements in firmware development and embedded systems
Qualifications
Job Qualifications
- Recognized degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Understanding of microcontrollers and real-time operating systems.
- Experience with embedded systems development and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with firmware development tools and defect tracking tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for problem resolution and design verification.
- Knowledge related to low-level device driver development for peripherals like SPI, I2C, Ethernet is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with version control software – Git.
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Embedded Linux.
