About the role:
The Senior Field Application Engineer (Power / Electric Vehicle Charging) will work with BGs, internal stakeholders, and Customers to understand and respond, from a detailed technical perspective, to our customer’s power, form-factor and electrical challenges as they relate to Delta’s Electric Vehicle Chargers and Power Conditioning Systems products in Fleet Operators, Transportation/Logistics, Utilities, Infrastructure, or Energy Markets.
The FAE will engage directly with fleet operators, logistics providers, municipalities, utilities, EPC firms, and facility stakeholders to assess site feasibility, electrical capacity, charging architecture, and infrastructure requirements. This individual plays a critical role in translating and comprehensively communicating to the BG customer fleet electrification and/or power conditioning goals into scalable, technically sound, and commercially viable charging solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong electrical and power systems expertise with customer-facing communication skills and a consultative mindset.
Key Responsibilities

a) Ability to build trust with our customers so that they feel free to discuss their issues freely, and to share potential solutions they would like to see explored

b) Ability to work with BU/BG as well as Account Management to communicate project status & any technical issues for resolution with as much detail as possible, in both technical terms (engineering) and high-level terms (business) with the aim of securing additional business opportunities for Delta.

Build and Maintain relationships with key OEM/ODM customers so they call you first whenever they have a new opportunity

Serve as the technical subject matter expert during pre-sales engagement with prospective fleet and commercial EV customers.

Conduct site assessments and support power/load evaluations for fleet charging deployments.

Develop charging infrastructure architectures including charger selection, power distribution, load management strategies, and integration considerations.

Collaborate with Sales to support technical discovery, solution positioning, and proposal development

Support RFP/RFQ responses with comprehensive technical documentation, system diagrams, and compliance information.

Working closely with BU/BG in Asia to follow project status.

Provide guidance on electrical requirements, utility coordination, permitting considerations, and infrastructure constraints.

Perform testing and present simulation data to customers with a focus on understanding customer expectations & working to ensure internal teams hold to those standards

Support troubleshooting during early deployment phases as needed.

Capacity to identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders

Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge on current EV charging standards, utility programs, regulatory incentives, and competitive technologies.

Quick learner and flexible to adopt of company working culture and processes

Minium Qualifications
:
-
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Power/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required;
-
3+ years professional experience as a Field Applications Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role
-
Experience in electrification and/or power management is required
-
Ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
:
-
Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power engineering or related field strongly preferred

Experience supporting pre-sales or customer-facing technical roles strongly preferred.

Project Management Experience

Experience with EV and/or Power Conditioning Systems’ design and/or deployments

Strong Technical Knowledge in related fields

The base salary range for this full-time position is
$110,000-150,000
per year. Actual pay will depend on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, and business needs. This role may also be eligible for incentive pay, subject to the terms of the applicable plan. Eligible employees receive company-provided benefits in accordance with plan terms and eligibility requirements. Benefits include health coverage, wellness resources, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other company‑sponsored programs; parental leave is provided in accordance with applicable law.
