FPGA Engineer

For a challenging development project with our client, we are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer (m/f/d) with strong expertise in developing high-performance FPGA solutions based on the Xilinx UltraScale / UltraScale+ platform.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize FPGA solutions based on the Xilinx UltraScale / UltraScale+ architecture
• Design and implement VHDL-based RTL components
• Develop high-performance data paths and high-speed data processing architectures
• Integrate and optimize DDR4 memory interfaces as well as communication between the Processing System (PS) and Programmable Logic (PL)
• Perform simulations, timing analysis, and debugging using Xilinx Vivado
• Analyze and optimize system performance and data throughput
• Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineering teams to deliver complex system solutions

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in FPGA development using Xilinx UltraScale / UltraScale+ or Zynq UltraScale+ platforms
• Strong expertise in VHDL, RTL design, and FPGA optimization
• Proficient in Xilinx Vivado, including IP Integrator, Block Design, Timing Analysis, and Debugging
• Experience with AXI interconnects, AXI DMA, HP/HPC interfaces, and high-speed streaming data transfer
• Solid understanding of DDR4 memory interfaces and communication between the Processing System (PS) and Programmable Logic (PL)
• Experience with FPGA simulation tools such as ModelSim or Aldec Riviera-PRO
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and independent working style
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• English must-have

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ethernet interfaces (1G, 10G, and 25G)
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux on Zynq platforms
• Experience interfacing with ADCs (Analog-to-Digital Converters)
• German language
