We are looking for a
Embedded Systems Engineer
who thrives across the full engineering stack — from low-level firmware and PCB design all the way.
You will be at the core of our drone development — designing hardware, writing the firmware that runs on it. You will work directly with mechanical, operations, and product teams, owning the technical integrity of our UAV platforms from circuit to the end.
Embedded Firmware:
-
Develop and maintain real-time firmware for drone flight controllers and subsystems
-
Program and integrate microcontrollers: STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex-M series
-
Implement and debug communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, MAVLink
-
Integrate sensors: IMU, GPS, barometer, magnetometer, and RF modules
-
Work with RTOS (FreeRTOS or equivalent) for task scheduling and system reliability
-
Debug firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD interfaces
Hardware Design:
-
Design schematics and PCB layouts for drone power, sensor, and communication subsystems
-
Select and evaluate components: power ICs, connectors, sensors, and RF modules
-
Design power distribution systems including BMS, voltage regulators, and protection circuits
-
Design High Speed Signals for SoM and SoC
-
Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and iterative design validation
-
Apply EMI/EMC design principles and integrate RF/antenna systems (GPS, telemetry, control links)
-
Work with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for prototype and production builds
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field
-
1-5 years of hands-on experience spanning embedded systems, hardware design, and software development
-
Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Python — all three are actively used in this role
-
Proven experience with STM32/ESP32/ARM microcontrollers at both firmware and hardware levels
-
PCB design experience using Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle — from schematic to layout
-
Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design: power electronics, signal integrity, mixed-signal
-
Experience with RTOS concepts and real-time embedded Linux environments
-
Working knowledge of ROS/ROS2 and MAVLink-based systems (ArduPilot or PX4 experience is a strong plus)
-
Hands-on debugging skills: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, JTAG/SWD
-
Exposure to drone systems, UAV platforms, robotics, or aerospace electronics
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
-
A systems thinker — you understand how hardware decisions affect firmware, and how firmware constrains software
-
End-to-end ownership: you are comfortable taking a subsystem from circuit design to deployed flight code
-
Strong debugging instincts across layers — schematic and firmware all look familiar to you
-
Startup mindset: high ownership, comfortable with iteration, fast execution, and ambiguity
-
A passion for drones, autonomous systems, and building things that move in the real world
-
Clear communicator who works well with mechanical, operations, and product teams
What We Offer:
-
Full ownership of a drone platform — hardware and firmware
-
Work on cutting-edge UAV technology in a hands-on, real-world environment
-
Fast-paced startup culture where your decisions shape the product
-
Participate in flight trials and see your work deployed in the field
-
Growth into senior engineering, systems architecture, or technical lead roles
-
Competitive compensation with equity potential for the right candidate
