About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Tester to join a dynamic, cross-functional engineering team focusing on base software within the automotive suspension domain. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying and validating embedded software functionality, ensuring high quality, robustness, and compliance with strict automotive standards and project requirements. You will collaborate closely with software developers, system engineers, safety engineers, and other stakeholders to define, execute, and automate test activities for real-time embedded systems across the full software stack—from low-level base software to control functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Design & Automation: Design, develop, and automate robust test cases for embedded software and system functions.
  • Execution & Verification: Verify software functionality, interfaces, diagnostics, and communication behaviors using HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) environments, simulation tools, and target hardware.
  • Analysis & Debugging: Analyze test results, identify software defects, and support root-cause analysis alongside developers and system engineers.
  • Validation: Validate software behavior for middleware, low-level drivers, diagnostics, and communication protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to test automation frameworks and the continuous refinement of test methods, tools, and CI/CD processes.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all software verification activities align with industry-standard quality, functional safety ($ISO\ 26262$), and cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Mid-level experience in embedded software testing or embedded software development, with a strong focus on real-time embedded systems.
  • Domain: Direct experience within the automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Architecture & Coding: Strong understanding of AUTOSAR architecture (specifically AUTOSAR BSW) and proficiency in C programming.
  • Protocols: Excellent knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Diagnostics: Deep familiarity with UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services).
  • Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and vTESTstudio.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in Python, CAPL, or similar scripting languages used for test automation.
  • Low-Level Interfaces: Good understanding of low-level protocols and firmware interfaces (e.g., SPI, UART, PWM, DIO, PSI5).
  • Methodologies: Solid experience with requirement-based testing, integration testing, and system testing in HIL environments.
  • Standards: Working knowledge of functional safety ($ISO\ 26262$) and automotive cybersecurity standards.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proactive communication style with the ability to initiate discussions and alignment across teams when needed.

What We Offer:

  • A dynamic and innovative workplace driving advancements in cutting-edge robotic technologies
  • The opportunity to collaborate with talented cross-functional teams on meaningful and impactful projects
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
  • A supportive culture that fosters continuous learning, growth, and professional development
  • Flexible hybrid working model for an optimal work-life balance
  • 25 days of annual leave to recharge and relax
  • An annual wellness allowance of 3,500 SEK to support your health and wellbeing
