  • Programming ARM Cortex and MSP430 microcontrollers
  • Developing bare-metal software and HAL drivers
  • Working with communication protocols including RS422/485 and CAN
  • Supporting hardware integration, testing and validation
  • Building and testing electronic hardware including wiring and soldering
  • Using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Collaborating closely with electronics and systems engineers throughout development
  • Contributing to high-reliability engineering processes and documentation

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • 3+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience
  • Experience developing software for high-reliability electronic systems
  • Strong experience with ARM Cortex and MSP430 microcontrollers
  • Experience with RS422/485 and CAN communication interfaces
  • Bare-metal embedded software development
  • Experience developing Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) drivers
  • Practical electronics laboratory experience including hardware build and testing
  • Confident using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other test equipment
  • Degree or Master's in Electronics, Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
  • Currently living and eligible to work in the UK

Desirable Experience

  • Space industry experience
  • Experience developing electronics through the full product lifecycle to flight-ready hardware (TRL 7+)
  • FPGA-based control systems
  • MIL-STD-1553B communication bus
  • Knowledge of ESA ECSS standards
  • 5+ years developing embedded systems for Space applications

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to work on genuinely exciting technology with real-world impact.

You'll join a collaborative engineering environment where you'll contribute to innovative projects within one of Europe's most exciting Deep Technology sectors while continuing to develop your technical expertise alongside experienced engineers.

If you're passionate about embedded software, enjoy working close to hardware, and want your work to contribute to technology that's pushing the boundaries of engineering, we'd love to hear from you.
