Role Purpose
This role is responsible for performing complex technical assignments developing creative, yet practical software solutions to customer problems, challenging conventional or traditional methods or procedures where required. You will serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for customers and be responsible for problem definition, in conjunction with customers, users and colleagues, and capable of scoping out and assembling high quality written project documentation (e.g. proposals, reports etc).
Key Accountabilities
- Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects in software and related systems on an expert level.
- Lead the way with impactful feedback to peers during code reviews and improvements to the code review process.
- Understand current advancements in technologies and how they can be used to improve our software products.
- Estimation of effort required for very large complex tasks
- Delivery of technical output to time, cost and quality
- Mentoring project team members on software engineering to improve the overall software product quality
- Looks for ways of improving development practice and process
- Provide technical support to Team Leads in scoping and planning work
- Building relationships and contacts inside and outside the organisation
- Work across all software skill groups

- Submit timesheets on a weekly basis

- Complete all mandatory training as instructed
- Maintain record of competency on Learning Zone
- Solicit feedback at the end of each project via PDR system

Experience & Qualifications
- A chartered engineer or equivalent demonstrable experience
- 9-13 years relevant software development experience
Clearance required: SC with ability to achieve higher levels of clearance
