We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x) to join our team in Vienna, Austria . You will be part of various international projects and use Ventus proprietary solutions. Moreover, you will have the “front row seat” and direct involvement in the R&D solutions created by Ventus, thus, getting the chance to participate in installations of innovative sensor technology.

YOUR TASKS

• You will be an integral part of the product creation process, from architecture and design to firmware development, debugging & testing
• Design, build and maintain modular, tested, and clean code
• Understand and troubleshoot embedded systems
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback
• Understand the necessity to maintain quality documentation, clean code, and effective test cases
• Collaborate with the hardware engineers to ensure that the firmware and hardware are properly aligned
  
  

Skills Required

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Embedded C/C++
• BS/MS degree in CS/EE or equivalent
• Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working with source control, Atlassian suite and MS suite or equivalent
• Experience working with wired and wireless communication protocols
• Clear understanding of clean code and clean architecture principles
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation
• Fluent communication skills in English, as this is the corporate working language

• Python for testing and scripting
• CI/CD
• Knowledge of ARM architecture
• Wireless, low power systems
• High-interference environments
• SCRUM or other agile methods
• Experience reporting current development status

• According to the Austrian law we must indicate the minimum gross annual salary for this position, which would be € 42,000 (based on 40 hours/week, 14 pay checks), however, we are ready to pay more depending on your qualification, experience, and individual competencies
  
  

Candidate must have a valid EU work permit and be willing to relocate to Vienna
